Plate (also commonly referred to as a borehole well cap). It is an essential component designed to securely seal the top of a borehole's uPVC or steel outer casing pipe, protecting the water supply from surface contamination, insects, and runoff debris.
Technical Elements & Connections
Central Threaded Pipe: The main water discharge pipe outlet through which water pumped up from the submersible pump exits the well.
Small Threaded Stub: Typically serves as the inlet port for the submersible pump's electrical power cable drop via a watertight cable gland or junction box.
Curved Elbow Piece: Acts as a built-in breather or air ventilation vent to allow the well pressure to balance properly as water levels shift during pumping cycles.
